I am currently accepting new adult (18+) clients for individual psychotherapy

I offer in-person therapy in Durham and telehealth services for folks located anywhere in North Carolina. Though I’ve worked with people from a wide range of ages, identities, and backgrounds, my three main therapeutic focus areas include:

1. Anxiety and OCD

Anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) can both feel incredibly unsettling, affecting not only one’s emotional state but also obstructing the ability to focus on what matters and engage fully in each moment. The experience of racing thoughts; overwhelming feelings and sensations from seemingly trivial tasks; and a constant barrage of urgent, threatening, and sticky "what-ifs" can seriously constrain and limit a person. In our sessions, we’ll work toward cultivating clarity, flexibility, and a sense of purpose that can expand your enjoyment of life and fuel the intentional change you desire.

2. PTSD and shame

Trauma can leave lasting imprints, haunting individuals and preventing them from fully experiencing their lives. The lingering feelings of shame and self-blame often persist long after these painful events. However, finding a safe, validating, and empathetic space to share can be profoundly healing. In our sessions, we will work together to develop the knowledge and tools necessary for you to embrace the present, heal from the past, and build a future that aligns with your needs and desires, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By identifying the barriers that are keeping you "stuck," you will find a renewed sense of strength and resilience to navigate life with greater ease and authenticity.

3. Life transitions

Life is an ever-changing journey, marked by various transitions, some significant and others more subtle. Whether these changes bring about pleasant or unpleasant emotions, they can still feel stressful and overwhelming. Perhaps you find yourself adapting to post-college life, navigating the complexities of relationships, adjusting to a new job, setting boundaries with family members, contemplating expanding your family, or preparing for a relocation. No matter what life throws your way, I’m here to support you throughout it. In our sessions, we’ll work collaboratively to build better coping skills to help you face these pivotal moments with greater resilience and grace.

Rates & insurance

Therapy rates:

  • $130/45-minute individual therapy session

  • $160/60-minute individual therapy session

  • $190/60-minute (one-time) initial assessment

Insurance:

I am out-of-network with all insurance and accepting private pay clients only at this time. I am happy to offer superbills (i.e., itemized receipts for your therapy sessions) that you can submit for potential insurance reimbursement.
